How to Draw a Honey Bee
This tutorial titled "How to draw a bee" might come in handy when you draw bees from your favorite cartoons such as Maya The Bee or Winnie the Pooh. Step 1
First step of drawing a Bee. The first thing we need to do is to draw two ovals for the torso and a small circle for the head. The bee's torso consists of two parts. The upper part has the feet and wings. Lower part only produces honey and contains a bee sting. A bee can sting only once and then it dies.
Step 2
Drawing paws of honey bee. You might want to use a ruler to draw bee's paws. Subsequently, these lines can be corrected. It is important to properly make their location on the torso. Hind legs must be a slightly curved. The main thing is to draw accurate proportions. Legs and wings of an insect are paired and they must be symmetric.
Step 3
Drawing wings of honey bee. A bee has two wings on each side of its body. It has the front wings and the lower fenders. Bee's wings are almost transparent, like that of wasps and flies, but there are a lot of veins. You must definitely draw the veining; otherwise the picture will not look finished. Sometimes lack of essential details in a drawing can be change the overall impression it gives out.
Step 4
Drawing bee's eyes and antennae. You see how easy and fast we have come to the final stage of drawing bees. But this stage is complex enough that you need to pay close attention. Draw eyes on the head and the bee's antennae. Then move down again. Note the bee's paws are "shaggy." Each foot has a small hook, which a bee uses to hold onto any surface during strong winds, etc.
Step 5
The final step to drawing a honey bee. Shading a bee. At the final step you can color the drawing. A bee's coloring is not as bright as that of a wasp. But a bee also has alternating yellow and black strips. Also I recommend drawing a flower on which your bee rests. A flower can be colored in subdued hues as well.
